Goals

As we start this new year, which is a time for setting new goals (and keeping them), I have been thinking about goals and making some of my own.

 

Elder M. Russel Ballard is quoted in Preach My Gospel.  He says, "I am so thoroughly convinced that if we don't set goals in our life and learn how to master the techniques of living to reach our goals, we can reach a ripe old age and look back on our life only to see that we reached but a small part of our full potential.  When one learns to master the principles of setting a goals, he will then be able to make a great difference in the results he attains in this life."  (Talk given to Salt Lake Area Young Adults, Oct. 18, 1981)

 

I have decided that my goal as a missionary is to become a Christlike Missionary, not just do missionary things.  There are 9 Christlike Attributes in Preach My Gospel, and I am going to focus on one each month for the next 9 months.  January is Faith in Jesus Christ.

 

Hector and Flor came to church this week!  They stayed for all 3 hours and they really enjoyed it.  Their children were scared of Primary and wouldn't go.  But Hector and Flor really enjoyed it.  Hopefully, the children will get over their first day of school timidness, and they will be able to go to Primary and really enjoy it.

 

We are still working to find new investigators.  We really only have 4 investigators that we are working with, but we know that there are more people here that we can teach, and that will progress towards making and keeping covenants.  There are a few new investigators we have that have the potential to progress.  We will just have to see what happens, and keep working on finding new people to teach.
